Beautiful Pongal / Makar Sankranti Rangoli with dot pattern 10 *10


Thai Pongal/Makara Sabkranthi, takes place on the second of the four days in Harvest festivals. In South India, We decorate their homes with sugarcane, banana and mango leaves and embellish the floor with decorative patterns drawn using rice flour. Kolams / Rangolis are drawn on doorsteps.The Sun stands for "Pratyaksha Brahman" - the manifest God, who symbolizes the one, non-dual, self-effulgent, glorious divinity blessing one and all tirelessly.




 Step 1:  Make 10*10 Parallel dots (Refer below image)


Step 2: Draw Sugar-cane on the both side dots (Refer below image)


Step 3: Draw Mango leaves on the top of the dots, Make Simple flower 2*2 dots (Refer below image)


Step 4: Draw Banana design used by 2*2 Dots (behind the Sugar cane) (Refer below image)


Step 5:Draw Pongal pot in big size next to the banana and flower designs. Draw one more medium size pot inside the big Pongal Pot (Refer below image)


Step 6: Draw Coconut on the 1*1 dot. Inside the two pots,draw one more small pot  2*2 dots (Refer below image)


Step 7: Draw betel leaf (Vethalai) in 1*1 dots in-between the coconut and flower design. After you done with the color, draw Areca- betel nuts (Pakku) on the betel leaves (Refer step 9)


Step 8: Draw designs (flower,waves & lines ) on the three pots. Try to draw different designs on the three pots, that will show the pots from one another one (Refer below image)


Step 9:  Fun time starts now...fill your favourite colors on the Pongal Pot Design. Draw white line on side.


Step 10: Two more dots are pending in your Rangoli..Draw a Diya or flower design on the two sides of the pongal pot,it will give more beautiful look to your Pongal rangoli.( Refer below images)




Step 11: Your neighbours can't move their eyes without watch this rangoli.


Step 12: Beautiful Pongal Rangoli ready to welcome our Pongal/Makar Sankranti Festival. 
          Add diyas and flowers are used making the Rangoli more beautiful...
