Padi Kolam / Rangoli - Pattern with Lotus Designs

Padi kolam can be reserved for Tuesday's,Friday's, festivals and functions.  Padi kolam should preferably have a square at the centre with designs on all sides.The space between them is filled with kaavi powder. It is auspicious to put Padi Kolam inside the Pooja room and outside the house.
                        

Step 1: Draw one medium size square shape. You can use scale or any tools to make this shape.



Step 2: Draw Lotus design on the square sides.


Step 3: Draw one more medium size square shape used by two lotus petals.



Step 4: Draw Lotus design on the 4 square sides.If you want to make simple Rangoli you can stop this step. If you want to elaborate rangoli can go to further steps. 



Step 5: Draw square shapes in between the two lotus designs to enlarge the Rangoli.



Step 6: Draw lotus designs on the square shapes.



Step 7: Draw simple designs inside the Lotus and Padi designs.That will give more brightness to your rangoli. In-between the designs filled with kaavi powder.Completed Rangoli(Below image)...Choose this beautiful Rangoli during your family festivals or special occasions too.



Step 8: Keep diyas on side to enhance brightness of the Rangoli.
