Hrudaya Kamalam Rangoli

Hrudaya Kamalam is a Rangoli drawn in front of puja room,tulsi plant and on auspicious occasions. This auspicious Rangoli believed to confer well being & prosperity. Lotus is the beloved flower of Goddess Lakshmi and these designs represent the heart of the Goddess.
This Rangoli only for puja rooms and is not recommended for doorways, entrances. The eight directional Hrudaya Kamalam is the lotus with eight petals, each facing a cardinal direction. It shows a top view of lotus. This is prevalent in Tamil Nadu.This culture is also seen in Andhra, Karnataka and Kerala.





Step 1: Put 15 dots horizontally and vertically. Then make 7 dots in between in all sides as shown below image. It is little difficult to draw this Rangoli so draw well from beginning onward

Step 2: Join the dots as shown in the below images







Step 3: Then joining the lines in the other sides with perfect.(Refer the below image)



 Step 4: Complete the design by joining the remaining dots as shown below.



 Step 5: Draw thick white line and leave as it is or fill with desired colors













Step 6: Add on some attractive colors in this Rangoli to make brighter.
